BIBIDOAN-New York: Inspiration of the day: Gothic Paper Windows

My inspiration today is all around these amazing, amazing laser cut paper artworks; Gothic Paper Windows by one of my favorite artist Eric Standley . I bet everyone would be amazed of his unbelievable artworks. Following pictures I took from Eric Standley website are great inspirations for my embroidery, print and pattern designs. They are also great for the sweaters stitching, and high-Tech Knitting patterns.

These fantastic Gothic paper windows designs comes courtesy of artist and Virginia Tech professor Eric Standley. According to his website, there are over 100 layers of paper put together, then shaped by laser cutter to create these amazing pieces. And this series of his works was inspired by the geometry found in Islamic and Gothic architecture.
