One of a kind or mass production?

Let talk little about fashion business tonight...

Have you ever wonder why so many stores have the same, or similar styles?

When working for Co-companies, many many times, actually most of the time the designers have to travel here & there, mostly Europe, to find and buy all the good designs, samples according to the trend then knocked them off, made changes, twisted them according to all the different customers/buyers/stores/labels. Here is an example: The boss showed us samples from Paris and we; design department base on those samples and came up with variations for Free People, Lulluvia, ODDI, Easil, Monoreno ....etc... Each label has it own fabric quality, print designs, some different details & trims, some changes and variations of colors ... Then the companies mass product the designs and we call this mass fashion business...

So it's up to you, do you like "one of a kind" or "mass production" ? If you like one of a kind, you must willing to pay high price for it.
